Changes since V0.9
  • Communication:
    - XFKeyValueTransporter NEW
    Reads Key-MIME-Value triples from an input stream and writes them to an output stream. Used for Broker-CGI communication.

  • Utilities:
    - XFHTMLStringConverter NEW
    Converts ISO 8859-1 strings to Unicode and vice versa.
    - XFSOIFFileWriter NEW
    Creates a UTF-8 encoded SOIF file from a Hashtable. Used for storing Rating User and Rating Data Objects in SOIF-Format in the filesystem.

  • Gatherer:
    - MYSQL specific SQL changes in database package. Also implemented a new filter for the gatherer to convert relative URLs in given attributes to absolute ones. Furthermore removed minor bugs in image converter and gatherer classes.

  • Indexer:
    - MYSQL specific SQL changes in almost every class of dbh package.
    - Some additional methods used for site description handling.
    - XFSiteStatisticsService NEW
    Indexer Communication Class that returns the statistics of site descriptions. Usually this service will be requested by the Broker.
    - XFImageHandler (PREPARED FOR NEXT VERSION)
    Handles thumbnails embedded in SOIF files.

  • Brokertool:
    - Complete Broker reworked. Rating handling inserted
    - XFSessionKey NEW
    Authentification mechanism for users accessing the rating system.

  • Rating:
    - Site Rating system added.
    Handles users of the system and rating data (sitedescriptions with xQMS metadata).

  • CGI User interface:
    - Completely reworked. Central CGI-Script invokes smaller CGI-Scripts depending on requested parameters. Different languages are supported by sets of such small CGI-Scripts (including abstract languages like XML).
